May 23 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A spark from the stove of the house burnt the entire house to ashes. The owner of the house told that in this fire, 85 thousand rupees in cash, a motorcycle and gold and silver jewelery lying in his house were burnt to ashes. In this he suffered a loss of Rs 8 lakh. Two fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control after an hour of effort.
According to the information, Chaudhary Mohammad Pradhan, a resident of nearby village Selkiana, told that after waking up in the morning, the women of his family prepared food as usual. After having dinner, he and his family members left the house for work.
After some time, he got a call from the villagers that flames were coming out of their house. As soon as he came back, he was stunned to see the scene where fire had surrounded his house from all sides in the scorching heat.
He immediately informed the fire department office for help. Two fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the spot but the fire spread so fast that even before the vehicles could reach the entire house was burnt to ashes. Chaudhary Mohammad told that he has suffered a loss of more than Rs 8 lakh in this incident. Family members told that when food was cooked on the stove, the fire in the stove might not have been completely stopped at the same time, due to the heat from above, the spark from there caught fire.
