May 22 (Punjab Khabarnama) : In view of the Lok Sabha elections, big news has come out. The Election Commission has taken major action. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has removed two police officers from Punjab from their current posts and put them on non-electoral duty.
Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer said that Shri Swapan Sharma, IPS (RR: 2009), who is currently serving as the Police Commissioner of Jalandhar, and Shri Kuldeep Chahal, IPS (RR: 2009). , currently serving as the Police Commissioner of Ludhiana, has been removed from his present posts and transferred.
In a letter to the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the ECI has directed that the two officers be placed on non-electoral duty. Additionally, the Commission has asked the Chief Secretary to provide a panel of three eligible officers each for the posts to be filled in Jalandhar and Ludhiana.
