JALANDHAR, MAY 16: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today said that the district administration had received as many as 421 complaints on C-vigil app and all these were redressed within stipulated time frame.
Divulging more, the DEO said that about 26 complaints were received in Adampur assembly segment, 87 in Jalandhar Cantt, 61 in Jalandhar Central, 127 in North, 64 in Jalandhar West, 30 in Kartarpur, 10 in Nakodar, 10 in Phillaur and 6 in Shahkot assembly constituencies.
All these complaints have been resolved by AROs within the given time period of 100 minutes.
District Election Officer Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal also appealed the people to report any sort of violation related with the model code of conduct on C-vigil app for speedy redressal.
He mentioned that people can download this app from the play store and file complaints with respect to MCC violations with proofs including photo and video, which is addressed within 100 minutes as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India.
He said that besides C-vigil app, the District Administration had also setup a complaint cell in the district administrative complex for the facilitation of people.
Giving more information about grevience redressal mechanism during elections, the Dr. Aggarwal further said that as many as 181 complaints were received offline which were also resolved within stipulated time frame. Likewise 46 complaints were received through NGRS portal and nine complaints were recieved at helpline number 1950 which were also addressed by the officials concerned promptly. He further stated that over 1400 persons have sought various queries with respect to elections at helpline number 1950.
