SAS Nagar, May 13, 2024: In its continuous endeavour to sensitise the voters particularly young voters to increase the voting percentage in Sahibzada  Ajit  Singh  Nagar, the Mohali Administration today launched another initiative by setting up giant painting to convey the message  in the premises of District Administrative Complex, SAS Nagar, Mohali.
The painting for the entrants of Sewa Kendra and DAC has been fetching the attention of visitors with the message, “We Vote for Sure, 1st June 2024.” Additional District Election Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (G), Viraj S Tidke while launching the initiative portrayed by Artist Gurpreet Singh with his painting brush beautifully, said that the move is aimed at to make aware the people of their voting rights and reminding them of polling day.
He said that as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain, this type of painting has been displaying the message of the Election Commission of India as a part of Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation activity. He said that in the coming days, more such catchy portraits to come up on the walls of the DAC to sensitize the voters to the importance of their voting rights.
He said the paintings portrayed on walls of the DAC like “Punj-aab to vote on June 1, 2024,” and Mother of Democracy by the artist Gurpreet Singh Naamdhari are marvellous examples of SVEEP and we hope, our sincere efforts shall help increase the voting percentage in our SAS Nagar district.
He was accompanied by the District Nodal Officer, SVEEP, Prof. Gurbakhshish Singh Antal, Tehsildar  District Election Office, Sanjay Kumar and Social Media Coordinator Prof . Amritpal Singh.
