May 3 (Punjab Khabarnama) : In view of the Lok Sabha polls-2024, a warning has been issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab under the guidelines of the Election Commission of India to SAD and AAP on charges of violation of the election code of conduct in separate cases.
The word ‘Delhi ke Dalal’ was used in a video by SAD against AAP’s state convenor and chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party’s candidates in the Lok Sabha elections-2024. Shiromani Akali Dal later removed this video. Similarly, on behalf of SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, the matter of participation of children in the election rally has been considered a violation of the election code of conduct.
On the other hand, you have been stopped from posting videos like ‘Unsecrated Games of Punjab’. Along with this, the caste-based comments used by Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar against his political opponents have also been considered a violation of the instructions of the Model Code of Conduct issued by the Election Commission of India. Due to violation of the instructions issued by the Election Commission of India regarding Model Code of Conduct, Shiromani Akali Dal and Aam Aadmi Party have been warned and directed not to repeat such mistakes and follow the guidelines of the Election Code of Conduct.
