May 2 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A news of rape case has come out from Chandigarh. An investigation was conducted by the police in which the police controlled and arrested the accused. The accused is said to be originally a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the information, the arrested accused is said to be Manu, resident of Sector 38 Shahpur Colony. In January 2022, a naked body of a woman was found in Maloya forest in Chandigarh. When her husband found the body of his wife Mandeep Kaur, he informed the police. The police started investigation soon after registering the complaint. In the investigation, blood samples of three suspects were sent for testing. After which the DNA of the accused matched with the deceased and he was arrested. During interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that the accused had also raped a girl in 2010 and in Himachal too he had raped a girl and later murdered her.
In the investigation conducted by the police, the police said that in the case of a 22-year-old student murdered in 2010, the police had interrogated 300 people and in the case of Mandeep Kaur, 500 people were detained and blood samples of some of them were collected. The sample was also sent for testing. Out of which the sample of the accused was matched. Let us tell you that about 7 cases are registered against the accused and the accused is also a drug addict.
