April 30 (Punjab Khabarnama) : A shameful case has come to light from Ludhiana district of Punjab, where three accused gang-raped a minor girl for 17 days. Complaint about this incident has been given to the police.

According to the information, a 16-year-old minor girl, who ran away from home after getting angry with her parents, was caught by three friends, who were lured by the accused and taken to their room. Here the accused had relations with the minor one by one for 17 days. In this case, Haibowal police station has registered a case under 376D-A POCSO Act against 3 accused Sukhveer, Sonu and Deepak on the statement of the mother resident of Chandan Nagar. In the complaint given to the police on April 24, it was told that on April 8, her elder daughter ran away from home due to a fight, after which Dhandhari reached the railway station. During this time, he met accused Sukhveer, who entangled him in his words and took him with him to the room, where the said accused continued committing the crime. Somehow she escaped from there and reached home and told the whole story to her mother.

At present, the police have registered a case based on the statements of the victim’s mother and started investigation. Chowki Jagatpuri in-charge Sukhjinder Singh said that in the initial investigation it was revealed that the accused Sukhveer is a resident of Mullapur and is married while the other two are migrants. Sukhveer had taken him with him by luring him with the promise of getting work. Several teams have been formed to search for the accused, who will be nabbed soon.
