April 26 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Due to the increasing severity of the heat, the scorching heat of June is beginning to be felt in the month of April itself, due to which the condition of the people is in dire straits. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain for the next 3 days, which will provide relief from the heat. According to the data released by the Chandigarh Center of the Meteorological Department, orange alert has been issued in Punjab for the next 2 days.

During this time, storm has also been predicted along with rain, while an alert of torrential rain has been issued. According to departmental information, this sequence of relief from heat will continue till Sunday. Because 26-27th has been declared as Orange Alert whereas on 28th April Yellow Alert has been declared, due to which there is a possibility of rain for 3 days. In this sequence, Punjab will come into the Green Zone on April 29. At the same time, experts have said that there is a possibility of hailstorm during this period because the weather currently prevailing in Punjab is indicating many changes.

The latest example of this came during the recent hailstorm. There was heavy hailstorm last day and looking at the weather it did not seem that there could be hailstorm in Punjab. Due to sudden cloud cover, the possibility of hailstorm should be kept in mind. At present, the mercury has crossed 40 in many parts of Punjab. There has been an increase of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the average maximum temperature for some days. In this sequence, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 18-20 degrees. Departmental experts say that the figures may change after 3 days.
