April 23 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The incidents of theft in Gurdaspur are not showing signs of stopping. Even today, thieves stole about 3 tola gold jewelery and 12 thousand rupees from a house in Dashmesh Nagar on Batala Road, Gurdaspur. This incident happened when both the husband and wife had gone for their duty. City Police Gurdaspur has registered a case under section 454,380 against unknown persons in this regard.

In this regard, Sukhjinder Pal Singh, son of Balwinder Singh, resident of Dashmesh Nagar Batala Road, Gurdaspur, in a complaint given to City Police Gurdaspur, said that he and his wife locked their house and went for their respective duties. When he came home at 4.15 in the evening, he saw that the door of the room was broken and the iron cupboard kept in the room was broken. Upon investigation, it was found that two gold bangles, a gold necklace and tops, a ring, a gold bracelet, chain and Rs 12,000 had been stolen by an unknown person. In this regard ASI Jagjit Singh said that on the statements of Sukhjinder Pal Singh, a case has been registered against unknown people and a search has been started for them.
