Advice for the audience from the district administration
April 20 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The District Administration Mohali has appealed to the spectators to arrive at the new cricket stadium, Mullanpur before the scheduled time to get into the stadium on time and to avoid any kind of overcrowding situation. DC Aashika Jain said that during the matches played in the past, it has been observed that despite advising the spectators, late arrivals are causing inconvenience to all. She said that since the entry gates are opened three hours before the start of the match, we should reach there before the scheduled time.
The Deputy Commissioner advised daily commuters whose destination is not the stadium to avoid using the PR-4 road after 4:00 pm on the day of the match, avoiding any traffic jams. Mullanpur Barrier Road is the best for them to go to Kurali side, she added. She said that although District Police led by Dr Sandeep Garg have been trying their best to reduce the chaos, but due to the main road leading to the stadium being single and the arrival of spectators in large numbers, all the arrangements become inadequate. She advised the spectators to reach the stadium before the start time of the match and enter the stadium on time by parking their vehicles in the parking spaces temporarily arranged by the stadium management. She said that adequate traffic management arrangements will be made to decongest the nearby roads before the schedule of future cricket matches to be played here.
