Instructions issued to ensure adequate facilities (Assured Minimum Facility) at Polling Stations
Tarn Tarn, April 13 (Punjab Khabarnama) : District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Taran Taran Mr. Sandeep Kumar is continuously holding meetings with officials regarding the election arrangements in connection with the elections to be held for the Lok Sabha Constituency Khadur Sahib. In this regard, Shri Sandeep Kumar today held a meeting with the sector officers of Vidhan Sabha Constituency Khemkaran and Patti at District Administrative Complex Tarn Taran and issued instructions regarding successful polling.
On this occasion Additional District Election Officer-cum Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Varinderpal Singh Bajwa, S. D. M. Taran Taran Mr. Simrandeep Singh, S. D. M. Patti Mr. Kirpalveer Singh and S. D. M. Apart from Khadur Sahib Mr. Sachin Pathak, other officials were also present.
He said that it will be ensured that all the norms set by the Election Commission of India will be followed, so that voters can exercise their right to vote without any fear.
Mr. Sandeep Kumar said that during the festival of democracy, the District Election Office will ensure that every voter coming to the booth is provided with a comfortable environment so that the 70% pass target is achieved in the Khadur Sahib constituency. He said that The Sector Officers will ensure thorough election preparations so that polling staff and voters get a good and quality environment on the day of voting.
The District Election Officer said that the required facilities (Assured Minimum Facility) decided by the Election Commission of India will be provided by each sector officer at their polling booth. Along with this, there should be signs regarding the different queues and toilets for men and women.
