Chandigarh, April 13 (Punjab Khabarnama) : District Magistrate Monica Gupta has passed orders under Section 144 of CrPC directing the managements of all schools to ensure safe movement of students to follow the guidelines of the Safe School Vehicle Policy issued by the Haryana Government. .
The District Magistrate has clarified in the orders that buses and drivers are not properly monitored by the school management to ensure safe and secure transportation of students resulting in serious threat to human life, safety and security of students. Recently, a school bus of GL Public School, Kanina, while carrying students met with an accident near Unhani, resulting in loss of lives of six students and injuries to many others.
The Superintendent of Police, all the SDMs of the district, Secretaries, RTA, District Education Officer and all the Block Education Officers of District Mahendragarh will ensure that these orders are followed.
Any violation of this order will be dealt with strictly as per Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
