Bribe was being demanded from the complainant by threatening to file a false case

Tyres worth Rs 1.5 lakh had already been taken as bribe by the accused and another bribe of Rs 20,000 was being demanded

Chandigarh, April 7 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The team of Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau arrested ESI Surender and Head Constable Birpal working in Dial-112 Firozpur Jhirka Police Station of Nuh district red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 5000. The accused were demanding a bribe of Rs 20000 in exchange for registering a false case against the complainant, out of which the Sub Inspector was arrested red handed by the ACB team while taking a bribe of Rs 5000.

Giving information about this, the government spokesperson said that the Anti Corruption Bureau team received a complaint that the accused were demanding a bribe of Rs 20,000 in exchange for registering a false case against the complainant. The complainant told that in this case the accused had already taken tyres worth Rs 1.5 lakh as bribe. Confirming the case, the ACB team made a plan to catch the accused and arrested them red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. In this case, action has been taken by registering a case against both the accused in Gurugram Anti Corruption Bureau Police Station. This entire action was taken with complete transparency in front of witnesses. Investigation is being done by collecting all the necessary evidence in this case.

The spokesperson of the Bureau appealed to the general public and said that if any officer or employee demands bribe in lieu of doing government work, then immediately inform about it on the toll free number of Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau – 1800-180-2022 and 1064.
