Chandigarh, April 2 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gurugram Division team has arrested accused Rajender Singh for his involvement in corruption. A case was registered against the accused on December 9, 2023, under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The ACB team then confirmed the case and arrested the accused on April 1, 2024.
According to the information received, the accused, along with his accomplice in Gurugram, used to collect monthly payments from trucks and hand them over to the then Motor Vehicle Officer.
Similarly, in another case, the ACB team of Gurugram Division has also arrested GST Inspector Jitender Barwar on charges of bribery. The accused is currently working in the CGST Office, Gurugram. The accused was demanding a bribe from the complainant in exchange for clearing pending government work. One accused has already been arrested in this case.
