Ferozepur, March 22, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama): The Pakistan-based Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation will celebrate Martyrdom Day on March 23 at Shahdman Chowk.The Lahore Court Justice Shahid Karim has given directions to the Lahore administration and senior police officers, to provide foolproof security for the celebration of Martyrdom Day at Shadman Chowk by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation, Pakistan.Giving this information from Lahore, Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, Chairman, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation, Lahore said, during the last week, a petition was filed in the court with a request to avoid any untoward incident at Shadman Chowk on March 23, for celebrations of Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, provide foolproof security and walk-through gate.Qureshi said we have to move to court every year. In 2018, we filed another petition to name Shahdman Chowk after Bhagat Singh and the court has issued directions to change the name but the Lahore administration has followed the directions so far. Now the court has issued notice to the administration. He said, Bhagat Singh was born in Pakistan and he was sentenced in Pakistan at Lahore. In this way, he is also a hero of Pakistan and he must get justice.
