Kotakpura 20 March 2024 (Punjabi Khabarnama): Tuesday i.e. March 19 proved to be an inauspicious day for the stock market. BSE Sensex fell 736 points to close at 72012, while NSE Nifty also fell 238 points to close at 21817. Investors have suffered a loss of Rs 4.86 lakh crore in a single day due to the heavy fall in the market. The total market cap of the BSE listed companies fell by Rs 4,86,777.98 crore to Rs 3,73,92,545.45 crore due to a sharp decline in the share market.The shares fell the most Among the biggest decliners on Tuesday was Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which fell 4.03 per cent. Apart from this, BPCL shares fell by 4 percent and Cipla by more than 3.59 percent. Other stocks that declined included Infosys, Power Grid, ITC, IndusInd Bank, Wipro, Nestle, Tata Motors, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and Ultratech Cement.
