With the resolve of Antyodaya, I will continue to serve the people of Haryana until my last breath, Manohar Lal
Chandigarh, 13 March (Punjab khabarnama) : During the special session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha today, former Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in matters of transparency, the BJP government in Haryana has taken numerous initiatives during the past nine and a half years, benefiting the people. Instead of enjoying power, we made power a means of service. Along with this, emphasis was laid on the importance of the improving system rather than giving importance to any individual. With the resolve of Antyodaya, I will continue to serve the people of Haryana until my last breath, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
While expressing gratitude to all the members of the house, Sh. Manohar Lal said that he was given the opportunity to lead the house almost nine and a half years ago, but for the first time when he became the Chief Minister, at that time, opposition members used to say that as a Chief Minister, he lacked experience. Regarding this, he had a meeting with Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, to which the Prime Minister said that you have become the Chief Minister after being a MLA, whereas he became the Chief Minister without having the experience of being MLA, just like today Sh. Nayab Singh has become the Chief Minister. The Prime Minister said that some things will be taught by the public, and some will be taught by the opposition members in the assembly, shared Sh. Manohar Lal.
He expressed gratitude to all the members of the house, saying that he is thankful to everyone for grooming him and bringing him to this level. He also thanked the bureaucracy for implementing the schemes at the grassroots level in this entire system.
“I have always prioritised serving the people of Haryana and have brought improvements in the system with the support of technology, focusing on the basic principle of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek, benefiting citizens. Today, many other states are also following our schemes and initiatives,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Karnal will remain the CM city; the former CM resigns from the Karnal assembly for Chief Minister Nayab Singh
Sh. Manohar Lal said that change is a part of life, and when a turn comes, one has to turn, it is not called changing the path. He in a poetic style said, ‘Hum na honge toh koi humsa hoga, koi humare nayab singh saini jaisa hoga’.
He said that there have been by-elections in the state before. He has taken care of the assembly with by-elections until the new arrangement. The people of Karnal sent him to the Vidhan Sabha twice with a big mandate, and today he resigned from the Karnal assembly and the Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh will take responsibility for the Karnal assembly. Whatever responsibility is assigned to him by the party, he will discharge it with greater responsibility, he added.
