Jalandhar, March 10 (Punjab Khabarnama)- Member Parliament Sushil Kumar Rinku today appealed the railway ministry to expidite the ongoing projects of construction of five Limited Height Subways (LHS) at Phagwara-Phillaur, Bhattian-Phillaur, and Phillaur-Ludhiana railway crossings.

The Member Parliament has written a letter to Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for speeding up the pace of these projects. Mr. Rinku said that the construction of these LHS was started in the district with an aim to ease traffic movement at these crossings.

The MP further said that LHS at these five crossings will provide much needed relief to people who face problem during traffic jams due to closure of these crossings.

He stated that these LHS would ease out traffic movement at these busiest road, thereby providing relief to thousands of commuters who use these roads to travel between Jalandhar, Phillaur, Phagwara and Ludhiana. He also urged the railway ministry to accomplish these projects at the earliest.
 
Mr. Rinku said that a large number of people have to wait long due to closure of these crossings; thereby LHS would ensure smooth and hassle-free passage to commuters.
