Chandigarh, March 9 (Punjab Kharnama) – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal unveiled a significant development plan worth approximately Rs 700 crore for Nuh district, emphasizing comprehensive growth across all three constituencies. Addressing a state-level function in honor of Shaheed Raja Hasan Khan Mewati, the Chief Minister assured equal development, highlighting a departure from past neglect.

Lamenting the exploitation of Mewat’s people as a mere vote bank by previous governments, CM Manohar Lal emphasized his commitment to the “Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek” principle, ensuring equitable development since 2014. He underscored the region’s importance, having made 11 visits in nine years compared to the minimal visits by previous Chief Ministers.

Over the past nine years, developmental projects worth approximately Rs 5000 crore have been implemented in Mewat, according to the Chief Minister. He announced initiatives such as the Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Chair at the Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Medical College and the formation of a committee chaired by Ch Zakir Hussain to oversee projects.

Other initiatives include tube wells, veterinary polyclinic, micro projects for irrigation and solar energy, bridge construction, pond beautification, e-libraries, and infrastructure improvement. CM Manohar Lal allocated funds for Nagina Panchayat and pledged to upgrade Al-Afia District Hospital to a 200-bed facility.

Gurukuls and Madrasas registering with the Haryana School Education Board will receive financial aid. Additionally, 1504 local youths received teaching job offers under HKRN, with colleges in Punhana and Firozpur Jhirkha soon to operate.

CM Manohar Lal urged unity in Mewat’s community, cautioned against external disruptions, and called for support for PM Narendra Modi. He launched the Poshanpakhwada initiative by the Women and Child Development Department, promoting nutrition awareness. The Chief Minister urged residents to clear outstanding electricity bills for 24-hour power supply.

In homage to Brigadier Mohammad Usman, a Nuh district martyr, CM Manohar Lal highlighted his sacrifices and contributions. Sohna MLA Sanjay Singh, Rai MLA Mohan Lal Badoli, Cama Rajasthan MLA Nauksham Chaudhary, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
