Chandigarh, March 7 (Punjab khabarnama) : Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, extends her congratulations to the women of the state on International Women’s Day.
In her congratulatory message, the Cabinet Minister highlighted that this day, celebrated annually on March 8, aims to recognize women’s contributions to societal progress, uphold the principles of equality and advocate for women’s rights. She emphasized that this day serves as inspiration for collective advancement.
Dr. Kaur also underscored the Punjab government’s commitment, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to women’s empowerment. Additionally, she mentioned the implementation of a gender budget by the Punjab government to foster equality for women in society.
