Sawhney reiterates her commitment to provide quality healthcare facilities to people

Ludhiana, March 6 (Punjab khabarnama) : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, a team led by sub-divisional magistrate Vikas Hira visited the civil hospital Ludhiana to inspect the health services and infrastructure. The team visited various parts of the hospital such as emergency ward, OPD, MCH, etc. to identify areas that need improvements. The team also interacted with the doctors, nursing staff, and patients.
Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney reiterated the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare facilities to the people. She said that the quality health services, was a topmost priority of the government.
She said that the district administration would leave no stone unturned in providing the best medical facilities to the people. She also announced that a new system would be put in place in the hospital to monitor and ensure standards in sanitation and hygiene. She said that there was no shortage of funds to revamp healthcare infrastructure as the Punjab Government had already initiated a slew of measures in this direction.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana had been asked to deploy a sewer jet machine for a whole week to clean up sewer lines. The team would visit the civil hospital regularly to ensure patients do not face any problems there.
Sawhney emphasized that every step would be taken to making civil hospital best in the region in terms of infrastructure, manpower and etc.
