Says, issue resolved after thorough survey conducted by the departments concerned
Jalandhar, March 6 (Punjab khabarnama) : Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal today finalized the draft report of the sub-committee on the sewerage issue in Noormahal and directed the officials concerned to submit this detailed report before the Estimate Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
Chairing a review meeting here at the district administrative complex, the deputy commissioner said that the Estimate Committee of the Vidhan Sabha had constituted a sub-committee to conduct a joint survey on the issue of sewerage system in Noormahal and working of sewage treatment plant (STP).
Following the directions, the sub-committee has conducted a joint survey on this issue and a report has been prepared in this regard. The committee has suggested various steps needed to be taken to resolve the sewerage problem here besides estimates to be incurred on this task. This detailed report will be submitted as directed by the Vidhan Sabha Estimate Committee, he added.
Notably, the Estimate Committee earlier in its meeting has formed a sub-committee to conduct a joint survey by various departments on the issue of sewerage system in Noormahal.
Representatives from GLADA, PWSSB, Public Health Department, Urban Development Department participated in the meeting.
