Rupnagar , March 4 (Punjab khabarnama): 48 grams of narcotic powder and illegal liquor were seized from various places under the cordon and search operation (CASO) conducted by the Rupnagar police against anti-social elements and drug smugglers.
In this regard SP D. Rupinder Kaur Saran shared the information through a press statement and said that SSP Rupnagar s. Gulneet Singh Khurana IPS Under the guidelines of Deputy Captain of Police Sri Chamkor Sahib and Deputy Captain of Police Morinda , Chief Officer Police Station Sri Chamkaur Sahib , City Morinda , Sadar Morinda , and Chief Police Officer Singh Bhagwantpur, a search operation was conducted in their respective areas.
SP Headquarters Under the supervision of Rajpal Singh Hundal , Sub Division Sri Anandpur Sahib , Deputy Captain Police NDPS/PBI , Chief Police Station Sri Anandpur Sahib , Chief Officer Kiratpur Sahib and Chief Officer Nurpur Bedi by forming different teams. A cordon and search operation ( CASO) was conducted at Morinda , Sri Chamkaur Sahib and Sri Anandpur Sahib , railway stations , bus stands, drug hot spots and other suspected dens .
He said that under this search operation, 48 grams of narcotic powder was recovered from Harpreet Singh, a resident of village Haydon, police station, Samrala district, Ludhiana, who was arrested and handed over to NDPS. A case was registered under the Act at Sri Chamkaur Sahib police station.
He said that 3 cases were registered against this young man earlier.
He further shared the information and said that a case was registered against Balwan resident Shri Anandpur Sahib for stealing 22 bottles of liquor and similarly a case was registered against unknown accused for stealing 600 liters of liquor.
