Rebels looses State Assembly Membership
Shimla February 29 (Punjab Khabarnama) – The Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha in his decision has disqualified 6 Congress MLAs – Ravi Thakur, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Sudhir Sharma, Devendra Bhutto, Rajendra Rana and Chaitanya Sharma.
In his address Speaker Kuldeep Pathania said that these MLAs have violated the party whip issued during the recent Rajya Sabha elections, on the basis of which they have been disqualified as per the anti defection law.
Mentionably, due to this decision, these 6 MLAs would not be able to attend the assembly session.
On the other hand, these rebel MLAs have said they would knock the door of the court against this decision.
