Nawanshahr, 13 February 2024 (Punjab khabarnama) : A meeting of the officials of various departments was held at District Administrative Complex Nawanshahr under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa to review the schemes related to the development works being carried out by the Punjab Government in the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner (C) Rajeev Verma, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Sagar Setia and district officers of various departments were present on this occasion.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner obtained information regarding the funds released under various schemes in the district from the Deputy Economic and Statistical Advisor. He instructed the officials present in the meeting to ensure quality works in time by utilizing the released funds. He asked the officials to speed up the development work and carry out the work in a transparent manner. He directed the officials to submit utilization certificates of completed works as soon as possible so that more funds can be released for new works.
The Deputy Economic and Statistical Adviser told the meeting that under the PM-10 State Level Initiative (Punjab Construction Programme) during the year 2023-24, district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar under the campaign “Sarkar Awahe Duar” for the people’s infrastructure development works. Allocation has been sent for complaints related to various works. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers present in the meeting to ensure the completion of the set targets within the stipulated time.
