The Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with the officials regarding the preparations
Fazilka 13 February (Punjab khabarnama) : The Punjab government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has prepared three tableaus depicting the glorious history and heritage of Punjab dedicated to the Republic Day which will enter Fazilka district from Sri Muktsar Sahib district on February 14 and on February 15 and 16. These tables will be available for public viewing at different places in the district.
For preparations in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Dr Senu Duggal held a meeting with the officials here today. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials to make all the advance arrangements and said that the first tableau among these tableaus represents the contribution of Punjabis in the freedom struggle of the country. Similarly, one tableau depicts the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and the third tableau is inspired by feminine power depicting Mai Bhagoji, the first Sikh warrior woman. He said that an effort has been made by the Punjab government to make our new generation aware of the glorious history, heritage and culture of Punjab through these tableaux . He invited the residents of the district to come in large numbers to see these tableaus.
