Meeting held with Food Safety Wing Fazilka
Fazilka 13 February (Punjab khabarnama) : Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal, in a meeting with the Food Safety Wing today, directed the department to regularly check food items and take strict action against those found guilty. He said that adulteration should be strictly stopped.
On this occasion, he said that DAV College Abohar has been selected as Eat Right Campus and in this regard its registration has also been done and the department has also done its audit. Similarly, Government Girls Senior Secondary School Fazilka has been registered as a school in the Eat Right category. Dakkhana Road Abohar has been selected as a clean food street. Similarly, old vegetable market Lajpat Nagar Abohar has been selected as the cleanest fruit and vegetable market.
On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Kavita Singh said that along with registration of the sellers of food items, regular training is also given to them by the department from time to time. He said that constant vigilance is being kept by the department in this regard.
Food Security Officer Gagandeep Kaur and Harinder Singh DAV College Abohar Vice Principal Dr. GS Chahal , DFSC Fazilka Mr. Himansu Kukkar , Dr. Mamata from Agriculture Department and SI Harish Khera and Jagdeep Sehgal from Municipal Council were also present in this meeting.
