Rupnagar, February 9 (Punjab khabarnama) : A three-day career guidance and counseling workshop is being organized at Government College Ropar under the patronage of Principal Jatinder Singh Gill under the financial grant received from the Punjab Government with the objective of skill improvement and student development.
Principal Jatinder Singh Gill while formally opening the workshop said that with the financial grant received from the Punjab government, occupation related seminars for students, visits to industrial units and panel discussions for personality development of students will be conducted. Convener of Career Counseling and Placement Cell said that 250 students are participating in this workshop.
In the first session of the workshop, the main speaker was Gurwinder Kaur Sohal, Abhimanyu IAS. The faculty members of the department informed the students about the papers and syllabus of civil services exams and also motivated them to prepare for these exams.

He emphasized to the students to set their goals and work hard to achieve them. On this occasion, the students also discussed about civil services exams with the main speaker.
