Hoshiarpur, February 9 (Punjab khabarnama) : Central Jail, Hoshiarpur was visited today by Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Aparajita Joshi under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Dilbagh Singh Johal. On this occasion, the youth pan India campaign 2024 to identify juveniles in jails and provide legal assistance was visited to the jail barracks. Barracks of male and female prisoners were inspected in Central Jail, Hoshiarpur. The problems of the prisoners were heard by the Secretary District Legal Services Authority and directions were given to the Deputy Superintendent of Jails for their solution. He said that the data of the cases of detainees/prisoners should be given to the District Legal Services Authority on time so that the cases of detainees can be sent to the concerned courts for further action for release on bail.
Apart from this, especially Secretary District Legal Services Legal Aid Defense Council System, Vishal Kumar of Hoshiarpur, Chief Legal Aid Defense Council Rupika Thakur, Sandeep and Harjinder Kumar Verma Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Council and Assistant Legal Aid Defense Council Karan Luthra and Miss Niharka was directed to identify and provide legal assistance to the minors in Central Jail Hoshiarpur regarding the above campaign.
