Rupnagar, February 9 (Punjab khabarnama) : District level karate competition under Rani Lakshmi Bai Atma Raksha Parashikshan component under the guidelines of District Education Officer (SEO) Rupnagar Ms. Renu Mehta Conducted at DAV Public School Rupnagar.
Giving information in this regard, Ms. Sharanjit Kaur District Sports Coordinator Rupnagar said that Ms. Sangeeta Rani Principal DAV Pub School Rupnagar inaugurated this competition. 80 athletes from ten blocks participated in this competition in different weight categories.

In weight category 40 kg, Charanjit Kaur (Takhtgarh zone) got first place, Sumanjit (Nagal zone) got second place, Safina Khatun (Sri Chamkaur Sahib) and Narinderjot Kaur (Morinda zone) got third place.
In weight category 45 kg, Varthika (Bhalan Zone), Ravia Begum (Mianpur), Simran (Ghanoli Zone) and Sharanjit Kaur (Sri Chamkaur Sahib) got the third position.
In weight category +45 kg: Ramandeep Kaur (Mianpur Zone), Sukhmani Kaur (Morinda Zone), Rupinder Kaur (Sri Chamkaur Sahib) and Lavanya (Nangal) won third place. Sanjamdeep Kaur (Rupnagar Zone) won the first position, Radhika (Nagal Zone) won the second position, Saifi (Morinda Zone) and Mazhad (Ghanoli John) won the third position in the weight category of class 9th to 12th -40 kg.
In weight category-45 kg: Bhavneet Kaur (Ghanoli zone) got first place, Navdeep Kaur (Mianpur zone) got second place, Ishita (Nangal zone) and Mohak Lochan (Sri Chamkaur Sahib) got third place.
In weight category-50 kg, Nancy Rana (Sri Chamkaur Sahib Zone) got first place, Dipali (Nagal Zone) got second place, Arshpreet Kaur (Rupnagar) and Abida Khatun (Sri Anandpur Sahib) got third place.
Similarly, in +50 K:G: Rajia (Mianpur Zone) won the first place, Mahima Chaudhary (Nagal Zone) won the second place, Asmita Wanche (Sri Chamkaur Sahib) and Tanveer Kaur (Morinda Zone) won the third place.
