District Magistrate Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, using the powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act-2 of 1974), prohibited any person from posting advertisements and hoardings on government buildings within the limits of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Restrictions have been placed on putting up borders and putting up advertisements and hoarding boards on private buildings/national highways/link roads/trees without the approval of the concerned departments and owners. This order will remain in force till April 11, 2024.
