The tableaus representing the ‘important contribution of Punjabis in the country’s freedom struggle’, ‘woman power’ and ‘the rich cultural heritage of Punjab’ reached Garhshankar late this evening under the leadership of Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Krishna Singh Rowdy. A warm welcome was given. The Jallianwale Bagh incident, Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, Shaheed Udham Singh, Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Sukhdev, Lala Hardyal, Sardar Ajit Singh, Baba Kharak Singh, Madan Lal Dhingra, Dr. The sacrifice of great personalities like Diwan Singh Kalepani and the incident of Kamagata Maru are shown. Similarly, through the second tableau women empowerment (My Bhagho Di Suramgati) and My Bhagho Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls are highlighted in various fields. Similarly, a glimpse of the rich heritage and culture of Punjab has been presented through the third tableau.
On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Rowdy said that the initiative taken by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to bring these tableaux showing the proud history and heritage of Punjab to the people of Punjab is highly commendable. He said that the history and culture of Punjab is unique and no one can underestimate it. He appreciated the efforts of the Punjab government to show the tableaus prepared for the National Republic Day, which were not allowed to be displayed there, to the people of Punjab. He said that the great history and rich culture being depicted through these tableaux will be beneficial to connect the young generation with their roots. On this occasion, a large number of people took pictures with the tableaux and made it a part of their eternal memory.
It is worth mentioning that the Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann had announced to show these Jhakis in every corner of the state, after which these Jhakis entered the limits of Hoshiarpur district today through Garhshankar from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district.
After stopping at Mahilpur and Chabewal tomorrow, these Jhakis will reach Hoshiarpur city, where people will meet them at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Government College Chowk, Prabhat Chowk, Tanda Bypass and Naloyan Chowk. Later, these Jhakis will reach Mukeri via Haryana, Bhunga, Garhdiwala, Dasuha, Uchi Bassi and after that they will enter Gurdaspur district.
