While inaugurating the Red Cross School of Vocational Learning opened by District Red Cross Society Hoshiarpur today, Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa said that the society is doing incomparable work in the field of service, which cannot be praised enough. He said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, the District Red Cross Society has done excellent work on many projects to provide dimension of service and make the youth self-reliant. He said that the Red Cross School of Vocational Learning which the Society has opened today in collaboration with Vardhaman Group, will greatly benefit our daughters.
The Cabinet Minister said that he praised Vardhman Group for renovating the buildings of Computer Centre, Beauty Parlor and Wellness Centre, Type and Stenography Center and Fashion Designing Center in this Vocational Training Center and said that all the hard work done by Vardhman A.E. Working with dedication and heart, the face of the training center has been changed. He said that this center will prove to be very beneficial in providing self employment to girls. He praised the Red Cross for the various public welfare works being done by the Red Cross. Apart from this, he also told the students about various schemes being run by the Chief Minister Punjab for the welfare of the people.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the Red Cross School of Vocational Learning has been renovated by Vardhaman AE and this center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. He said that in these centers students will be given training as per international syllabus. Secretary of Red Cross Society, Mangesh Sood said that the courses conducted here are of six months and one year duration and after completing these courses, employment opportunities are also provided to the students. He said that soon courses in accountancy and tally will also be started by the District Red Cross Society. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Ludhiana Breweries, GNA University, Unnati Cooperative Society, SPN College Mukerian, Rice Shellers Association, Sunshine Component Pvt. Ltd. and other associate institutions.
On this occasion, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Hoshiarpur Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Vikram Sharma, Vardhaman Group President I.J.M.S. Sidhu, Director Finance and Administration Tarun Chawla, Anurag Sood, Career Counselor Aditya Rana besides members of the District Red Cross Society were present. All the members were present.
