From 6th to 7th February, residents of Hoshiarpur will come face to face with the rich heritage of Punjab through tableaus.
Hoshiarpur, 05 February (Punjab khabarnama) : Three tableaux specially prepared by the Punjab government to celebrate the important contribution of Punjabis in the country’s freedom struggle, ‘women power’ and the rich heritage of Punjab, will reach Hoshiarpur district on 6th February. These views were expressed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba during a meeting held in his office regarding these tableaux. He told that these three special tableaux were prepared by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to be included in the parade on the occasion of Republic Day, which has been started from Patiala and Ludhiana and after that it will be included in the parade. Tableaux are being displayed in different districts of the state. He told that these tableaux will reach the border of district Hoshiarpur from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar via Garhshankar and after stopping at Garhshankar, Mahilpur and Chabbewal on February 6, these tableaux will reach Hoshiarpur city, where Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Government College Chowk, Prabhat People will come face to face with them in Chowk, Tanda Bypass and Naloian Chowk. He told that on February 7, these tableaux will reach Mukerian via Haryana, Bhunga, Garhdiwala, Dasuha, Uchi Basi and after that will enter Gurdas district.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner assigned duties to different officers related to smooth movement of tableaux, cleanliness, fire tender, medical team, ambulance and other necessary arrangements and directed to get them done smoothly. He asked the sub-divisional magistrates related to the group to make all necessary arrangements to present the tableaux to the general public in their respective areas and the executive officers and BDPOs related to the group will support them in this work. He instructed that school children should be introduced to these tableaux. He said that elected representatives and the general public should be fully involved in this. He invited the people of the district to see these special tableaux and big size tableaux prepared by the Punjab Government. On this occasion, apart from DSP Amar Nath, Assistant Public Relations Officer Lokesh Kumar, officials of other departments were also present.
