Fatehgarh Sahib , February 03 (Punjab khabarnama): District Magistrate Smt. Parneet Shergill in Criminal Penal Code , 1973 (2 of 1974) clause Public places within the limits of District Fatehgarh Sahib under 144 Carrying firearms , ammunition , explosives , inflammable items etc. and sharp weapons like maces , spears , tridents etc. has been banned . This has been done because in view of the current happenings in the state of Punjab, it becomes necessary to maintain law and order in the district and maintain peace in the interests of the people, that during this period, the public within the limits of District Fatehgarh Sahib. Places Carrying any kind of firearms , ammunition , explosives , inflammable items and sharp weapons like maces , spears , tridents etc. has been banned . Prohibitory orders issued April 01 , 2024 will remain in force until
This order will not apply to army personnel , paramilitary forces , Bawardi police personnel and those who have the right to carry arms due to religious or legal customs , renewal of arms license etc. coming for such office work. This order will not apply to those who have already been provided security cover by the Government of India/Punjab .
