Hoshiarpur, January 31(Punjab khabarnama): Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba and Joint Secretary of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST) Dr. K.S. Bath said that the 31st State Children Science Congress is being organized by the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology from February 1 to 3 at Rayat-Bahra Group of Institute, Hoshiarpur. In this state level event, students in the age group of 10 to 17 years will prepare and present small research projects. He was addressing the press conference organized at the District Administrative Complex today. During this time, District Development Fellow Zoya Siddiqui, Project Scientist Dr. Mandakini Thakur and District Coordinator Ashok Kalia were also present with him.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba and Joint Secretary of PSCST Dr. K.S. Bath said that more than 400 students and teachers from the entire state are participating in the state level Children Science Congress organized by the district administration in collaboration with Punjab State Council and Technology. He told that in this Science Congress to be held from February 1 to February 3, children will develop their thinking towards science and will come up with new ideas. He said that the Punjab government is committed to bring about an education revolution so that children can gain knowledge about science and technology from an early age.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Joint Secretary of PSCST said that this year more than 1200 projects were prepared by the participants from all 23 districts of the state on the theme of ‘Understanding Ecosystem for Health and Well Being’. , out of which 138 projects will be presented at the state level. He informed that 16 projects will be selected from the state and sent to participate in the national level event. He said that Punjab has always performed brilliantly in this event and many children have presented golden moments for the state and have brought glory to the state at the state level by securing top positions. Dr. K.S. On this occasion, Bath expressed his gratitude to SCERT schools and especially the district administration for organizing this event.
