Hushiarpur, 26 January
The tricolor flag was hoisted by Chairman Harmeet Singh Aulakh on the occasion of Republic Day at Urban Improvement Trust, Hushiarpur. On this occasion, remembering the martyrs and great freedom fighters who contributed to the freedom struggle of their country, hearty congratulations were extended to all the Indians living in the country and abroad, especially the Punjabis, on the 75th Republic Day. He said that with the implementation of the Indian Constitution on 26 January 1950, the Republic was established and we have the honor of being the largest democracy in the world. He said that this day reminds us of realizing the dreams of freedom fighters and constitution makers about the bright future of India and provides an opportunity to take stock of our overall performance. He said that under the guidelines of the Punjab Government, the Urban Improvement Trust Hushiarpur is working on war footing to provide better facilities to the people in the area and to strengthen the Trust as much as possible. On this occasion, officers and employees of the Municipal Improvement Trust office were also present.
