Abohar 7 February (Punjab khabarnama) : Animal Husbandry Department Punjab has started a campaign to give free stomach worm prevention medicine to animals. This campaign has been started by the Punjab government led by Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann as per the guidelines of Animal Husbandry Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian.
Under this series, a camp was organized at Cowshala Managing Committee Abohar in which Shri Arun Narang former MLA Abohar arrived as the chief guest. Addressing the gathered animal breeders, he said that this medicine is being given by the department absolutely free and there is no prescription fee. He appealed to the animal breeders to take full advantage of this facility.
On this occasion Dr. Mandeep Singh Senior Veterinary Officer Abohar said that the purpose of this campaign is to improve the health of animals by freeing them from stomach and worms, so that maximum profit can be made from them. He said that this medicine will be given to Goke and Mahru animals of all ages. He instructed all the staff of the tehsil that no animal of the tehsil should be deprived of this medicine. Amit Nain Veterinary Officer Abohar thanked the guests and animal breeders. On this occasion Mr. Dhanpat Siag, Mr. Fakir Chand Goyal, Rajinder Baghala, Kamal Mittal, Prithi Chand Garg, Veenam Chalana Veterinary Inspector and a large number of Dehri farmers were present.
