Ashwagandha is a medicine that provides relief in diseases like paralysis and diabetes. Professor Abhay from the Botany Department of Gorakhpur University (GU) mentions that he is conducting research on Ashwagandha. Additionally, this work has received praise from scientists in the United States, Japan, China, and internationally.

Dr. Abhay says that nowadays, problems like paralysis are being seen more frequently in the younger generation. Paralysis occurs due to blood clots in the brain’s nerves. If not treated promptly, a person could suffer from it for the rest of their life.

Professor Dr. Abhay from Gorakhpur University explained that Ashwagandha is available in the market in the form of tablets and powder, but using the leaves of the Ashwagandha plant directly from the tree can help prevent diseases like paralysis more effectively. Research has shown that when blood sugar levels are very high, it reduces the level of antioxidants in our blood. As a result, blood cells start to die.

Dr. Abhay stated that Ashwagandha has proven to be very effective in treating diseases like paralysis. When our brain only uses the body’s glucose, due to the lack of antioxidants, the body is unable to eliminate harmful free radicals that are released from the brain and blood cells.

As a result, cells begin to die. If this continues for a long time, blood clots start to form in the blood vessels, and the balance of the entire body gets disrupted.

Dr. Abhay explained that his research team found that the roots of a very famous Ayurvedic medicinal plant, known as Ashwagandha (scientific name Withania somnifera), help rejuvenate brain and blood cells and eliminate free radicals. It is very effective in detoxifying the body. Therefore, as much as possible, Ashwagandha should be used in its plant form to receive its full benefits.
