June 10 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Here in the Dugri police station area, the mother and daughter were murdered by the girl’s fiancé. As soon as the news came to light, there was an atmosphere of panic in the area. At present, the police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and kept them in the mortuary of the civil hospital. The deceased have been identified as Pushpa (55) and her daughter Pradeep (20). The incident is said to have happened late Sunday night.
The police have arrested the accused Amandeep, but it has not been officially confirmed yet. According to the information, the deceased Pushpa lived on the footpath with her son and daughter and used to sell toys. A few months ago, she had engaged her daughter Pradeep to the accused Amandeep.
After this, both the families had a fight over something, due to which the girl wanted to break the relationship. Due to this, Amandeep stabbed the mother and daughter to death. When he started running away after committing the crime, people caught him and handed him over to the police. At present, further action in the case is going on by the police.
