According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in the cities of Punjab may cross 48 degrees today, due to which there is a possibility of breaking all the old records. Also a red alert of heatwave has been issued.
According to the department, last evening the temperature of Faridkot district of Punjab was 47.7 degrees, which is the highest compared to others. Let us tell you that many people have lost their lives due to extreme heat and heat stroke and many more are becoming unconscious every day. An advisory has been issued by the department that we should not go out in the scorching heat from 12 noon to 3 pm, hence we should do outside work in the morning and evening. We should drink water after every half hour even if we are not thirsty but people suffering from epilepsy or heart disease, kidney or liver disease who are on limited amount of fluid should consult the doctor before consuming water. .
