They make the excuse of lack of resources.
The reason for lack of food sampling in the district is said to be lack of resources in the office, in which only one vehicle has been provided to the food bank team and at a time only one food safety officer can use it while the remaining 3 remain sitting in the office, whereas all of them can do the sampling together. People say that when the inter-district teams do extensive sampling during festivals then why can’t the 4 food safety officers carry out such work.
Agents wreaking havoc in the name of health officials.
According to sources in the health department, for the past several years a so-called doctor without a degree has been seen very active in the market and his visits to the office are also seen frequently. This person also helps people get licenses made and in return, he is said to charge a hefty fee from the food business operators. However, health officials have been instructed to make people aware about this matter themselves and get their food licenses made.
Even the Drug Department does not investigate.
Due to being an active agent of the Health Department, the alleged doctor without a degree who has been active as an agent for many years, the Drug Department has also never gone to investigate his degree and because of his wide contacts, it has been hesitant to take any action.
