Dolphin (PG) College, Chandigarh welcomed its new batch of students with a culturally rich and colourful freshers party, “Shangri La 2024”. The event was a grand celebration of diversity, with students from various states of India and international students from Nepal showcasing their heritage through traditional dance and music performances. Dressed in vibrant ethnic attire, they added a festive glow to the occasion.
Punjab DGP Dr Sharad Satya Chauhan graced the event as the chief guest along with his son Master Ojasya Chauhan. Dr Chauhan appreciated the enthusiasm and talent of the students, and urged them to focus on both academic and personal growth during their time at Dolphin College. He emphasized that dedication and hard work are the keys to success and appreciated the management, faculty and students for organising such a successful event. He also praised the college’s commitment to providing quality education in the field of allied health sciences. College Vice Chairman Vibhav Mittal congratulated the students.
He encouraged students to take full advantage of the available resources and opportunities. He stressed the importance of balancing academics as well as extracurricular activities for holistic development. Principal Dr. Manu highlighted the high academic standards and welcoming atmosphere of the college, which attracts students from more than ten Indian states as well as Nepal. He emphasized the importance of not only academic excellence but also of promoting cultural unity and leadership among students. Academic Dean Dr. Malkit Singh urged the students to prioritize their studies and assured them of the unwavering support of the faculty throughout their academic journey.
