Sadak Surakhya Force (SSF), Ensuring Safety on Roads
Life-Saving Initiative Reduces Accidents Across Punjab
The Mann Government’s Road Safety Force has emerged as a vital player in reducing road accidents and saving lives across Punjab. Equipped with high-tech vehicles, the force is stationed every 30 kilometres, ready to respond to accidents reported through the 112 emergency helpline.
Upon receiving an accident report, the control room dispatches the Road Safety Force, which provides immediate first aid and facilitates the rapid transportation of injured individuals to nearby hospitals. This swift response not only minimises the time between injury and medical care but also enhances the chances of recovery for those affected. This initiative has already saved countless lives, offering hope to families that might otherwise have faced tragic losses due to road incidents.
By actively working to decrease road fatalities, the Road Safety Force is committed to ensuring safer travel for all Punjab residents. Additionally, the force conducts awareness campaigns aimed at educating the public about safe driving practices, further contributing to the reduction of accidents. This initiative not only reflects the government’s dedication to public safety but also aims for a future with significantly fewer road accidents.
