Every year the festival of Dhanteras is celebrated on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. On this day, it is customary to worship Lord Dhanvantari, the god of death Yamraj and Kuber ji. This year the festival of Dhanteras is on 29 October i.e. tomorrow. The auspicious time to buy gold, silver and other items is from 6:34 am to 10:33 am the next day and from 6.36 pm to 8.32 pm. There are three auspicious times, in which the first auspicious time is from 10.32 am on October 29 to 6.31 am on October 30, the second auspicious time is from 6.32 pm to 8.14 pm on October 29 and the third auspicious time for shopping is from 5.39 pm to 6.56 pm on October 29.

Bringing a new broom into the house on Dhanteras is considered extremely beneficial to please Goddess Lakshmi. Broom brings cleanliness and Goddess Lakshmi resides in a clean house.
Light 13 lamps
Lighting 13 lamps at night on Dhanteras is considered auspicious. For this, take 13 lamps and put ghee, wick and one cowrie in each. Place these lamps in the courtyard of the house. By doing this, happiness and prosperity will remain in life. Also, Kubera, the god of wealth, will be kind.
