October 9: Department of Zoology of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib celebrated World Animal Day to create awareness for animal welfare and promote animal welfare. On this occasion, a PowerPoint presentation competition was organized by the department. The theme of the event was “The world is also home to animals”. The competition emphasized the importance of compassion, protection and respect for living beings. M.Sc in PowerPoint Presentation Competition Zoology and B.Sc. Medical students participated enthusiastically. Faculty of the department fostered collaboration and dialogue among students and encouraged community involvement in animal welfare initiatives. The function was presided over by the head of the department, Dr. Charan Kamal Sekhon.
