1 october 2024 : Actor Kashmera Shah visited her uncle, actor Govinda, at CritCare Hospital in Mumbai, setting aside their ongoing family feud. Govinda was admitted after accidentally shooting himself in the leg early Tuesday morning.
As Kashmera arrived at the hospital, paparazzi inquired about Govinda and the incident. She briefly responded with “Kuch nahi (Nothing)” before entering the facility.
Kashmera is married to Govinda’s nephew, Krushna Abhishek, and their relationship with Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, has been strained in recent years, marked by negative remarks despite attempts to reconcile.
Shortly after being admitted, Govinda shared an audio message with his fans, stating in Hindi, “Hello, this is Govinda. Thanks to the blessings of my fans, parents, and God, I am feeling better now. I was shot, but the bullet has been removed. I appreciate Dr. Agarwal for his help and thank all of you for your prayers.”
According to Mumbai Police, the incident occurred around 4:45 am when Govinda’s licensed revolver accidentally discharged as he was placing it back in a cupboard while preparing to leave for Kolkata.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his concern for Govinda’s health, stating, “I have personally reached out to Govinda to convey my deep concern about his health. On behalf of the government and people of our state, I wish him a swift and complete recovery. I have assured Govinda that he and his family will receive all necessary support during this challenging time.”
Shiv Sena member Deepak Sawant reassured fans, saying, “I want to inform everyone that he is absolutely fine, and there’s no need to worry. This was an accident. He will be discharged in 48 hours. The doctors have done their job well, and his family is happy about his progress.”
