June 13 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Further advancing the series of development works in Vidhan Sabha constituency Dirba, the capacity of 66 KV grid Chhajli has been increased to 31.5 MVA power transformer by augmenting the existing 20 MVA power transformer. While giving this information, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that Rs. 2.08 crore have been spent on this work and with this the supply from 66 KV grid Chhajli will be improved for the domestic and agriculture sector for the people of Chhajla, Chhajli, Sangtiwala, Nangla, Kothe Rohiram and Nilowal villages. The Finance Minister said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to provide uninterrupted and reliable power supply to the people of Punjab. He said that during the paddy season, there will be no dearth in providing uninterrupted 8-hour power supply to the farmers.
Finance Minister Punjab Harpal Singh Cheema said that under the visionary plans of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, as many as Rs. 22.12 crore rupees are being spent to strengthen the power supply system of Dirba constituency. He added that New 66 KV grids will be constructed at villages Khadial, Kadial and Khokhar Kalan at the cost of Rs.9.53 crore and capacity of power transformers of existing 66 KV grids is also being augmented at the cost of Rs. 4.18 crore and along with this New 66 KV lines are also being constructed at a cost of Rs 8.41 crore and the capacity of the 66 KV lines is being increased by augmenting the existing 66 KV lines.
