May 31 (Punjab Khabarnama) : In the scorching heat, the temporary clothes shops in the city’s Chhoti Baradari suddenly caught fire in the afternoon. With this, about 2 dozen shops were burnt to ashes. After getting the information about the fire, people called the fire brigade and fire brigade vehicles arrived, which controlled the fire after 2 hours of effort, but by then many shops had been burnt to ashes, in which goods worth lakhs of rupees of the shopkeepers were burnt.
The real reason for the fire could not be known, but it is believed that the fire started due to a short circuit or after the dry grass lying at the back of the shops caught fire, the fire spread to the shops and high flames of fire started coming out. With this, an atmosphere of panic was created in the area and people themselves controlled the fire with the help of the fire brigade.
