May 20 (Punjab Khabarnama) : The Consumer Affairs Ministry has sought suggestions from the public on draft rules for Microwave Doppler Radar devices used to measure the speed of vehicles on roads. The ministry has issued a circular in this regard. The draft rules state that radar equipment installed will need to be verified within a year after the rules are finally notified. People have been asked to give suggestions in this regard till June 11. The ministry said existing installed equipment should also be verified when re-certification is required.
